Cognac and gin with lime, bitters and ginger beer. A spicy, restorative highball born in wartime Cairo.

Ingredients

  • 1 ozCognac
  • 1 ozGin
  • ½ ozLime Juice
  • 2 dashesAromatic Bitters (Angostura)
  • 4 ozGinger Beer
  • 1 mint sprigGarnish
  • 1 orange sliceGarnish

Method

  1. Shake cognac, gin, lime juice and bitters with ice.
  2. Strain into an ice-filled highball glass.
  3. Top with ginger beer.
  4. Garnish with mint and an orange slice.
